Kona Ohana Guest House

There are two rooms available for guests to rent, with a shared bathroom and shower. HOWEVER, to ensure complete privacy, only one party or family will be allowed to stay at any given time. You may rent one room or both, but you will never have to share the bathroom or the outdoor bath with another guest you don't know.

Amenities include towels and washcloth. Both rooms have a small fridge and microwave. There is also a barbeque and sink outside for those who might want to do some cooking. A washer and dryer will also be availalble for those wishing to do some laundry.

Each morning you will be served a continental breakfast with a fresh pot of 100% Kona coffee from the famous Greenwell Farms. Breakfast will include a plate of fresh tropical fruit and scones, croissants, or muffins, served with butter and organic Hawaiian honey from Big Island Bees. (There are a number of wonderful restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner.)

The larger room, two to four people, has a king size bed, futon couch that doubles into a queen size bed, and a television with cable and VCR. There is plenty of closet space, and the room opens up onto a lanai (porch) with beautiful views of the ocean under a canopy of Plumeria trees (used for leis). The rate is $130 a night plus tax, minimum stay of two nights. Stay 6 nights, and get an extra night free.

The smaller room has two single beds and a couch. It also opens up onto the lanai with nice views of the ocean. It has adequate closet space, a fridge and microwave but no TV. The rate is $110 a night plus tax, minimum stay of two nights. Stay 6 nights, and get an extra night free.

For families with children, we offer a Family plan. If a family wishes to rent both rooms at the same time, there is a special discount rate. Both rooms would be $190 a night plus tax. The maximum number of people allowed is six.

Please keep in mind that these are room rates, and not subject to change according to the number of people. Rates will be the same year round.

Check-in time is anytime after 1:00 pm (13:00).
Check-out time is by 10:00 in the morning.
